Welcome to My Creative Corner 🍊
Hi, I’m Carolyn Waterman—the creative mind behind Sweet Marmalade Designs!
I’ve always been a creative soul—drawing, crafting, and chasing every art project I could get my hands on since the days of crayons and construction paper. While other kids were off singing or playing in the band, I was glued to my sketchbook (or learning my way around early design programs). That love of art followed me through every stage of life—from childhood to college, where I earned my master’s in Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design.
With over 15 years of experience, I’ve brought bold ideas to life across industries like education, healthcare, biopharma, and corporate environments. From in-house marketing teams to independent freelance projects, I’ve worked in both fast-paced and free-flowing creative spaces. My expertise spans digital and print media, logo design, campaign development, and brand identity creation.
Sweet Marmalade Designs is the joyful result of that journey. The name was inspired by my childhood cat Marmalade and my love for marmalade on toast—both reminders of simple, happy moments. That’s the spirit I bring to every project: a blend of playful creativity and professional polish.
I love collaborating with clients to build thoughtful, vibrant designs that feel personal and make an impact. Whether we're starting from scratch or refining something special, let’s make something beautiful together.

Life Beyond the Studio 🧡
When I’m not designing joyful graphics, I’m soaking up the simple pleasures of life — the kind that fill your soul and spark creativity. I’m a proud single mom to a smart, funny teenage son who keeps me on my toes and teaches me something new every day.
My French bulldog, Marty, is my constant companion and emotional support snorter. Whether he’s curled up under my desk while I work or adventuring alongside me, he brings laughter to my everyday.
I love getting outside — kayaking, walking in the woods, or just breathing fresh air with a cup of coffee in hand. I practice yoga to stay grounded, and when I’m recharging, you’ll usually find me with a good book or hunting for treasures while thrifting and plant shopping with my best friends.
These little moments inspire my art and remind me why I do what I do — to create things that make people smile.
